LOOK GREAT AND FEEL GREAT IN 2008!

Wouldn’t you love looking great and feeling great every day of your Life?
Well, it does take some work. However if you make it a habit, then it will not seem like work at all.

Just like brushing your teeth every night, taking off all your makeup before bed, putting on all your treatment and moisturizers before to hit the pillow. That all seems work, however if you focus on the outcome and make It All good habits, it won’t seem so much like work.

Remember, this is all for you, something you do for yourself, after giving and serving everyone else Allll day long. I thought you’d enjoy some tips and tricks I share with my clients when they come into me for the very first time.

HONORED TO BE IN THEIR MIDST

I have gathered all my great information from female clients that have been on my treatment table in the last twenty years. They have been in highly professional healthy and wellness industries most or all of their lives and I would like to pass on some of their wisdom to you. I feel very blessed to be in their midst if only for a short time. Their professions range from a Chinese physician, retired or semi-retired nurses, dietician, nutritionist, acupuncturist, holistic and naturopathic doctors, plus very sagacious women who are up on all the healthiest choices out there.

I have also referenced some great information from the Eat Right for your Blood type book by James D.Adamo and The PH Miracle by Robert O. Young. These books may not help you, however many of my clients are losing weight, and beginning to feel better following the wisdom published in books like these.

They are also seeking more variety in their food selections as they reduce their intake, of processed, packaged and man-made selections in the traditional grocery stores. They are discovering the abundance of exciting choices through the menus and recipes that these books offer. You may find solutions for your issues that you may be encountering while working toward a healthier lifestyle.

I am not a certified dietician, or nutritionist however food is a huge part of supplying your skin with the vitamins, minerals, enzymes and nutrients that it needs. Your first step is to want to bring your skin to a “healthy” state and then you can start working on slowing down the “aging” part.

FIRST THINGS FIRST


Let’s start with your water intake. You might want to think about drinking 6-8 oz a day, or one-half your weight in ounces. I am 130 lbs, so that would be 65 ounces or about eight 8 oz. glasses. If you are wanting to lose a few pounds you may want to get in touch with your feelings that you may actually be thirsty instead of hungry.

That not only will help you move in the “NOW” but also will help you drink more water. You can put it a pretty glass; add a squeeze of lemon or a twist. A great way to break your fast in the AM before eating food is lemon and water upon rising. So, WATER is crucial.

They say you can go without food for five days, but only three days without water. So, look for the purest, best water you can.

THE BIG FIVE

My clients really like when we discuss “The Big Five”. That’s what I call this section. Red Meat, Caffeine, Flour, Sugar, Chocolate are what they call the SAD-Sad American Diet. I feel that is why we have such a large portion of the population going to gyms due to the fact that they are eating too much of these “acidic” foods which turn into sugar and turns into fat.

If we ate healthier, perhaps we wouldn’t need to feel so guilty and exercise so much. If you take a hard look at other cultures, they don’t even have a gym in their entire country, and they live far beyond 100 years of age, like the Chinese for example. They eat warm food, healthy food, in small amounts and move their bodies in moderation all day long. They are so healthy there that the language does not even have a word for “menopause” because they do not suffer from man-made, processed, packed dead food as we do.

You may want to take full responsibility for your health and longevity when it comes to your eating habits. When we eat too much of the big five as well as dairy that is pasteurized, flours that are bleached and other foods with little surprises in it, it all builds up in our bodies as toxic waste.

Think of your body as one unit, and you are the keeper on your unit. Like the "Queen of your Castle", You monitor what goes in and out physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritual-right? Of course, you want it to be clean, spotless and pretty at all times. You want to be it working in optimal condition for as long as you can!

Think of your body, your health and your skin in this same manner. Watch what goes in your mouth and you can focus your intention on working toward 80% live, healthy food. The books I mentioned earlier will help you.

Become aware of what your daily choices
are doing to your body.

And considering that you are indeed the Queen of your Castle, you'll want to keep a few things in mind when you are using all types of different crèmes, lotions, face products, body products, hair products and gels and mousses, make-up, cosmetics, deodorants, vitamins from Sprouts, Whole Foods, Aveda, Mac, GNC, Hi Health and on and on, that you are piling on product after onto your body each and every day, every week, every year, every month and every year.

You are accumulating more and more products onto your skin all the time, and all of this “stuff” goes into your skin in 26 seconds or less. This alllll adds up in your body over the years. So, if you are “whatever” age, you have been abusing your body since you were 20 or so. So, please consider reducing your intake of some of this “Stuff” and consider making wiser, healthier choices please!

Your body can only handle so much and you may end up with conditions like fibromyalgia, lupus, thyroid problems, hormonal imbalances or other types of symptoms. These coupled with unhealthy lifestyles habits will only harm your skin and accelerate the aging process.
