Lifting Power of Micro-current

As we all know Oprah is the Leader in discovering and researching new and exciting technology in many areas. She is also at the forefront of exploring the latest technology in finding “youthful treatments” in this great land of ours.

Since micro-current was seen on Oprah Show, Martha Stewart Show and the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy in the last five years, there has been an explosion of more awareness in looking younger in general.

As we say now ...
“60 is the new 50,
50 is the new 40,
and 40 is the new 30!”

How time has flown by as well as our perceptions on “aging”. You can either ignore it (which is very difficult to do) or embrace it and get off your booty and take charge. Taking charge is natural for our “matriarchs of the household” as I call all you women on the Planet!

Since I have been performing muscle-lifting treatments in micro-current since 1986, I guess I will call myself a 'specialist' now.

As with all technology, you need to keep on the latest “cutting edge” advances, so now I am on my fourth micro-current machine that I purchased for my clients. They deserve the “best” and get the “best!”

Why Is Micro-current so popular now?

Micro-current started in the medical field about sixty years ago from Germany. A physician had a Mother who had recovered from a stroke and had paralyzing muscles on her left side of her face. Her muscles had lost their elasticity completely and were hanging for dear life on her jowl area.

This physician had an engineering friend who had been working with micro-current for various healing modalities in the field of medicine at the time.  So, they proposed that they were going to improve and tighten up the left side of her face with his special machine and see how her muscles would respond.

Their results were astonishing and her muscles tightened for a “more youthful” appearance, even more then the right side of her face. That was the day micro-current was exposed to a new level, and was brought into the esthetics and skincare arena in the late 70’s to the U.S. With many good things, it has come full circle and now been available for the client through licensed professionals as chiropractors, naturopathic, homeopathic, acupuncturists, sports medicine as well as aestheticians.

It was used highly successful on Joe Montana; the sports athletic to speed up his healing so they could have him play sooner and win all those games.

How does Micro-current work?

Micro-current is a very passive electrical stimulation similar to your heart beat, which is also a very passive electrical stimulation. It’s proven and accepted properties have ranged from wound healing, muscle re-habilitation, muscular regeneration, to lymphodema continue to assist medical practitioners with amazing results.

Although, micro-current is credited by hundreds of studies, we strive to bring you the latest technology that can benefit you in our mission of beautifying your skin as well as keeping you “ageless!” Micro-current is getting common to consumers and more popular every year, because many of you have had this pulsing sensation on your neck or back for therapeutic healing.

There was even a Micro-current Convention right here in Cave Creek where scientists, physicians and engineers came from around the world. This is truly a limitless modality that we can all embrace and use to raise the bar in all types and levels of therapies for fitness, medical, sports medicine, anti-aging and beauty.

Dr. Barb Schell, MD of the Ageless Center For Rejuvenation, located in Seattle, Washington notes, “I love the concept of utilizing every efficacious available technology and product concurrently to maximize the end result. There is not one magic product, technology, or procedure that is the cure all for aging and you really need to address the situation from many angles.  I am a big advocate of micro-current and really find it necessary to sculpt and contour the muscles of the face to maximize and complete the effect of fillers.”

My clients who choose to use fillers or injections as Botox, Rystylane or Collagen are usually clients around their early 40’s and now have stopped. They have found that those facial imperfections that they had before have reduced greatly with micro-current and they prefer not to utilize fillers and injections any longer.  Many are very concerned about the long term affects that are not published yet, or question what the exact ingredients are. I feel it is a “personal” decision if you choose to take that route.

Actually, those who choose this route of using injections and fillers are perfect pre-qualified candidates for micro-current. The combined effects are very synergetic; one would think that they developed one with the other in mind.

Even though both Restylane and Collagen give a quick and effective “filling” effect, diminishing the visible creases and lines on your face, however they nothing for muscle contour, natural collagen  and elastin production, enhanced circulation all of which are address in micro-current. And I feel if you are over 40, maybe even over 50, or more mature the fillers may not meet your expectations. Just remember, the more damage, creases, lines, wrinkles, sagging and dropping you have the more serious approach you will have to consider.

You have choices of little pain with little cost or more pain with more cost, just do your homework carefully, be realistic and make sure that you will take responsibility and be happy with your choices.

Now that I have been performing micro-current facelifts consistently since 1986 there are many other positive results that my clients have expressed to me. For example, their pores are reduced and tightened, tiny broken capillaries around their nose have reduced, their total complexion having a “pink” (without being pregnant) glow comes to the surface of their skin from the circulation from the mild current from this machine.

Many of my clients may come in with a migraine, headache, of neck sensitivity and after a treatment they will get up and feel fifty to one hundred percent better. Perhaps just laying peacefully on a vibrating table in “pure nirvana” as one of my dearest client’s calls it helps also.

Actually I just finished up performing the “Fast-Track” Facelift on Scott Pasmore, a well-known morning news reporter on Channel 3 in Phoenix.
